H07RN-F is a heavy-duty flexible rubber cable rated 450/750V and built around a Class 5 finely stranded bare copper conductor, EPR (ethylene propylene rubber) insulation and a tough PCP (polychloroprene) outer sheath. The design follows EN 50525-2-11 and IEC 60227, and the completed cable meets the single-burner flame propagation requirement of EN 60332-1-2. Because the conductor is stranded rather than solid, the cable can be handled, coiled, uncoiled and routed around equipment without the memory and stiffness of a fixed installation cable, which makes it the practical choice wherever power has to travel to a moving load: mobile distribution boards, small plant and tools, temporary site supplies, stage and AV rigs, port handling equipment, water treatment plants and cold-store maintenance work. Standard constructions cover one to six cores, and lengths, sheath colour, core identification and drum marking can all be produced to an approved cable schedule.
Why H07RN-F Performs Where Ordinary Cable FailsThe first advantage is environmental resistance. The PCP sheath is formulated to withstand oil, grease, hydraulic fluid and dilute chemical splash, so the cable survives workshops, generator sets and plant rooms where PVC-sheathed cable would swell, harden or crack within a season. The same compound resists weathering, ozone and abrasion, which means it can be run outdoors, across rough concrete or over gravel without a conduit, and it keeps its flexibility in cold conditions instead of turning brittle. The second advantage is thermal headroom. The cable is rated for continuous conductor temperatures from -30 °C to +90 °C in fixed installation and -15 °C to +90 °C while flexed, so short-term overload and high ambient temperatures around machinery are tolerated far better than with general-purpose wiring. The third advantage is installation economy. A minimum bending radius of only four times the overall diameter in fixed use, and six times while flexed, allows tight routing inside cabinets and around drum edges, and the 450/750V rating permits use at 1kV in fixed applications, so one cable type can serve both portable equipment and the fixed feed that supplies it. Fewer cable types on site means simpler procurement, fewer jointing errors and shorter downtime during maintenance.
Workmanship and Manufacturing ControlThe performance above depends on how the cable is actually made, and this is where the construction detail matters. Conductors are bunched from clean, annealed bare copper wires of Class 5 fineness, with lay length and strand compaction controlled so that the conductor stays round, keeps a low resistance value and does not untwist when the cable is cut. Insulation is extruded on modern lines with continuous wall-thickness and concentricity monitoring, which prevents thin spots that would otherwise become the weak point under voltage stress. The EPR insulation and the PCP sheath are cured under pressure so the two layers bond correctly without voids, giving a sheath that strips cleanly at terminations but will not slip or split in service. Core identification follows standard colour coding for one to six cores, so multi-core runs can be terminated quickly and checked by a second person without guesswork. Every production length passes conductor resistance measurement, insulation resistance testing, a high-voltage withstand test and dimensional inspection of insulation and sheath thickness, and finished drums are examined for surface defects, correct length marking and legible sheath printing. Where a project requires it, routine test reports, certificates of origin, third-party inspection and private labelling can be arranged before shipment.

Typical duties include mobile power supply and extension runs on construction sites, temporary site distribution boards, small plant, submersible and drainage pumps, stage and audio-visual equipment feeds, port and terminal handling machinery, water treatment and pumping stations, cold stores and other severe industrial environments. The cable is equally suitable for fixed connection inside machinery and control panels where a flexible tail is needed between a terminal block and a moving part. Selection should always be confirmed against the actual current-carrying requirement, the installation method, the ambient temperature, the presence of oil or chemicals, and the applicable national standard.
Packaging and Quality AssuranceCable is supplied on wooden or steel-wooden drums, normally 500 to 1000 metres per drum depending on size, with the drum flange marked with the cable type, core configuration, length, standard and production batch. Shorter cut lengths and coil packing are available for stockist and retail supply. Each shipment is accompanied by a packing list, routine test report and certificate of origin, and inspection by a nominated third party can be arranged when the contract requires it. The cable is manufactured in a plant operating under a documented quality management system, and enquiries are reviewed against the agreed technical datasheet before production begins.
